At The Laser and Skin Clinic we use a wide range of the FDA approved Dermal Fillers, each one used for specific areas and desired results. There are currently several types of Dermal Fillers available on the market. The most popular types of dermal filler are hyaluronic acid fillers, calcium hydroxylapatite fillers and polylactic acid fillers of three which are available at The Laser and Skin Clinic with Belotero, Radiesse and Collagen Stimulating Fillers.

Belotero (Hyaluronic Acid Fillers)

Hyaluronic acid fillers also referred to as HA dermal fillers are widely used in the Ireland and the UK due to their high levels of safety and reliability. It is a natural substance which can be found in every living organism but diminishes as we age. As a result, it is biocompatible and side-effects are very rare. Hyaluronic acid fillers come in varying levels of thickness and so they are a flexible option to improve different areas of the face. Belotero dermal filler products work to iron out wrinkled, crepey skin and give a much fuller look. Due to the high levels of hyaluronic acid, they also attract and retain water, improving the skin’s appearance and texture. See Belotero for more information.

Radiesse (Calcium Hydroxylapatite Fillers)

Calcium hydroxylapatite has maintained a safe standard of treatment in the cosmetic industry for many years and is the main element of Radiesse dermal filler. This is a temporary but longer-lasting type of dermal filler which works wonders for facial contouring. It is used mainly for volumising midface, jawline contouring, cheek enhancements or as a rejuvenating treatment for the face as it stimulates collagen while present in the skin. See Radiesse for more information.

Collagen Stimulating Fillers (Poly-l-lactic acid fillers)

Collagen stimulators are injectable and encourage the body’s own collagen to form and provide beneficial effects. The product is composed from poly-l-lactic acid and which adds volume and improves skin texture. Such products can improve skin thickness and last up to two years, with the results gradually improving over several months for a subtle improvement. This is an excellent choice of dermal filler if you do not want to show obvious signs that you have had treatment. See Collagen Stimulating Fillers for more information.
