Enlarged Pores Treatment – our 5 easy steps on how to minimise pores!
Step 1 – Cleanse
Invest in a face wash that has glycolic or salicylic. These ingredients are known natural acids which help to remove dead skin cells and excess oil – both of which have been known to reduce the appearance of open pores and blocked pores.
Step 2 – Tone
Apply a tonic containing glycolic or salicylic to prevent pore congestion. Both of these ingredients help to eliminate dead skin from the face. Because dead skin cells can enter your pores, causing clogging or making your pores even larger, this topical application can prevent pores from growing larger or reducing any pores that may be open. Oil control tonic will work throughout the day and night to reduce the build-up of oil and dead skin.
Step 3 – Moisturise
Only use a light, oil free moisturiser or serum to avoid a build up of product on the surface of the skin. Sunscreen must also be oil free.
Step 4 – Exfoliate
Exfoliate your skin twice weekly, using a clay masque or micro beads. Exfoliation can minimise the appearance of large pores by reducing the amount of dead skin on the face and prevent open pores from getting blocked. Skin cells build-up every 6 weeks so it is important to remove on a regular basis.
Step 5 – Active Ingredients
Active Ingredients can minimise the appearance of open pores. Products containing retinol and glycolic can be applied to the skin to maintain the results from treatments.

Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Large pores are generally caused by 2 primary factors.
- Excess Skin Oil Production – People with oily skin have more oil producing cells in their sebaceous glands. The more sebum that’s produced the larger the pores become
- Ageing of the Skin – As our face skin ages many very significant changes occur. The most striking ageing change is loss of collagen. Collagen is a very important supporting structure in the skin. When collagen is lost with ageing, the oil glands and pores loose support and become lax and the pores become enlarged.
