What to expect
Lanluma works differently from traditional dermal fillers, as the poly-L-lactic acid works deep within the skin to stimulate your body’s own fibroblast cells to naturally produce more collagen.
Here at Laser + Skin Clinics, we have two Lanluma options to target your concerns.
Lanluma V focuses on the smoothing and plumping of skin in small to mid-size body areas of the body.
Lanluma X focuses on building volume and is ideal for increasing volume in larger body areas such as the buttocks and hips.
Lanluma treatments are typically performed in under an hour with minimal downtime, and results emerge gradually post-treatment as the body lays down new collagen. This is an excellent treatment choice if you’re looking for volume enhancement, a lift, a reshape, or hiding hip dips. In addition to all the volume changes, it will also improve skin texture and help with the appearance of cellulite.

Lanluma is a minimally invasive treatment that triggers a deep tissue regeneration reaction. It stimulates collagen, adds volume, improves skin texture, and recontours your buttocks for a more shapely silhouette. It is suitable for all genders and ages and is indicated for buttock augmentation and reshaping, thighs and cellulite. It improves skin tightness and texture, enhances curves, can help reduce cellulite and dimples, improves the buttocks’ shape and volume, and corrects natural and post-surgical concerns such as atrophy and lipoatrophy.
Lanluma is a great treatment for clients looking to:
- Improving ‘hip dips’ by correcting the hip-to-waist ratio
- Increasing fullness and replacing lost volume or adding volume
- Improves skin quality/cellulite/dimpling on buttocks
Lanluma is performed under local anaesthetic, which makes it virtually painless. Our specialised nurses will carefully inject Lanluma where you want to create volume. There is minimal downtime with this treatment. Patients can resume regular activity on the same day. You may experience some redness and swelling in the area.
This depends on how dramatic a result the client wishes to achieve; for a visible improvement to the bum area, 6 vials are recommended (between 2 or 3 sessions). For smaller areas of the buttocks such as hip dips, 3-4 vials may be required. Your practitioner can advise you on how many vials you will require during your initial consultation.
No, Lanluma is a collagen stimulator that works directly within the skin itself. It is made from Poly-L-lactic acid, which is a natural product produced in the muscles.
Lanluma differs from other traditional dermal fillers as it replenishes collagen within the skin. Lanluma stimulates this process gradually, creating long-lasting results that appear entirely natural. Lanluma does not fill the space and merely forms immediate results like traditional fillers, but it causes collagen stimulation and the growth of fibrous tissue while gradually restoring volume. Traditional dermal fillers tend to require revision every 6 months, whereas Lanluma acts over a longer period of time and is thus more cost-effective and easier to maintain for a patient.
