What to expect
The treatment involves directing broad-spectrum light at the skin to either break apart pigment or stimulate the production of new collagen, resulting in increased elasticity and a smoother, more even complexion.
Sciton’s advanced technology enables broadband light to be directed to the skin more quickly and intensely than other technologies on the market, which enhances both efficacy and safety. During a BBL treatment session, the handpiece is passed over the client’s concern areas, creating a mild warming sensation on the skin. The BBL device comes with a cooling plate to ensure maximum comfort during the procedure. Immediately following the treatment, the pigmented or vascular lesions will darken, indicating that the light has successfully targeted the concern area. This treatment can be combined with other Sciton procedures, such as HALO, to achieve an all-over rejuvenation of the face and body.

The BBL system is renowned for its superior precision and ability to customise the treatment plan to meet each client’s needs. With BBL, optimal results can be achieved with fewer sessions as compared to IPL. Furthermore, BBL also stimulates collagen production, which helps in rejuvenating the skin. Unlike CO2 laser treatments, both IPL and BBL are non-invasive and result in minimal downtime.
BBL is a preferred method to address superficial skin issues, while HALO is a more effective treatment for deeper skin layers. Although HALO treatments may require more downtime, they usually yield faster and better results with fewer sessions.
Results can be seen within the first few days after your HALO treatment. Improvement in the treated area can be noticeable for several months following the treatment. While some clients may notice visible results after a single treatment, a few treatments may be required to achieve the desired outcome.
You will notice smoother skin after two weeks, and it will continue to improve as collagen production increases.
Following your treatment, your skin may appear pink and feel slightly sunburned for up to 4 hours. It’s possible that any vascular or pigmentation may appear darker, but this will improve within 1-2 weeks. It’s important to note that your skin will be more sensitive to sunlight for two weeks following the treatment. Therefore, our skin specialists recommended to wear a high-factor SPF.
