Hooded Eyes

The eye area is one of the first areas of the face to show visible signs of ageing because the skin around the eyes is naturally thin and is continuously affected by facial movement. Over time, reductions in collagen and elastin, changes in fat distribution and changes in the supporting structures around the eye can contribute to hooded eyelids, loose or crepey skin, under-eye hollows and a tired appearance.

Hooded eyes occur when excess or lax skin becomes more noticeable across the upper eyelid. In some people, lowering of the brow can also contribute to heaviness over the outer eyelid. The lower eye area may develop fine lines, loose skin, hollowing or under-eye bags. True eye bags are usually caused by protruding fat or structural changes and are different from hollows caused by volume loss.

Our Treatments

  • CO2 Laser Resurfacing

CO2 laser is the gold standard in skin resurfacing, replacing damaged skin with fresh, healthy skin. It creates controlled micro-injuries that trigger collagen and cell renewal, improving pigmentation, fine lines, wrinkles, pore size, scarring, and the reduction of excess skin which contributes to hooded eyes, by treating both the surface and deeper layers of the skin.
