A skin peel is a resurfacing treatment designed to improve and enhance the skin.
Also known as a face peel, a skin peel is a means of chemically exfoliating the skin by breaking down the intercellular glue that holds together dead skin cells. The peel then causes cell turnover, bringing new skin to the surface. Image skin peels have been an increasingly popular treatment with our clients at Laser + Skin Clinics due to their results, effectiveness, and minimum recovery time. The Image Perfection Forte Peel is an excellent option for clients looking to tackle skin conditions such as pigmentation, acne, or ageing. This concentrated blend of lactic acid, salicylic acid, and resorcinol works synergistically to quickly and effectively reduce the appearance of advanced ageing, pigmentation, and acne. This extra-strength treatment reveals a younger-looking you in a single treatment.

Typically, we recommend 24/48 hours of recovery time post-treatment. This will depend on each individual’s skin condition and skin type. Most clients will experience mild shedding, mild sensitivity, mild swelling, and pigmentation changes during the recovery phase.
You may experience a warm/tingling sensation when the peel solution is initially applied, which will subside within a few minutes.
There is minimal to no recovery time associated with Image 4 Layer Facelift Peel; however, some clients may experience a light exfoliation over the first few days, revealing a fresher, radiant glow.
We recommend a course of 4-6 Skin Peels at 2–4-week intervals for optimum results.
All active Image Skin Peels require skin preparation before treatment to prepare your skin for your peel to achieve better penetration and avoid any adverse reactions. Here at Laser + Skin Clinics, we recommend prepping your skin for 2-4 weeks prior to treatment. To prepare your skin, we recommend using a Glycolic or Salicylic cleanser once a day for 2-4 weeks before your first skin peel. You will also require a gentle cleanser, moisturiser, and broad-spectrum sunscreen as part of your aftercare. Your pre and post-treatment program will be discussed in detail during your consultation.
