How It Works

Clarity II™ uses 755 nm Alexandrite and 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser wavelengths to target melanin within the hair follicle. The absorbed energy converts to heat, damaging the follicle’s ability to produce new hair while protecting the surrounding skin.

  • Different skin tones: The wavelength, pulse duration and energy are selected according to skin type and hair characteristics.
  • Coarse or fine dark hair: Adjustable settings allow different depths and hair thicknesses to be targeted.
  • Ingrown hairs and shaving irritation: Gradual hair reduction can reduce the recurring follicle irritation associated with shaving and waxing. Because hair grows in cycles, a course is required to target follicles during their active growth phase.

    When Will I See Results?

    Treated hairs commonly begin shedding within 1–3 weeks. Hair reduction develops gradually across a course because the laser can only target hairs effectively during certain stages of the growth cycle.

  • What Treatment Works Well With It?

    Laser hair removal may be combined with appropriately timed superficial peels or skin treatments for concerns such as ingrown hairs and post-inflammatory pigmentation. The skin should be fully settled between treatments.
